Tip 1, Feng Shui bedroom:

One of the most important things you need to figure out before making any design changes to your bedroom is what type of look and feel are you trying to create. For instance, are you wanting to feel relaxed and warm when going to bed, and to create a room that helps you to go to sleep immediately, or would you rather create a room that as a sexy feel to it.

Colors are very important to feng shui master practitioners, and using them in the bedroom can create different types of moods. To create relaxation and calmness dark and warm colors are used, and to bring in energy a practitioner will use bold and bright colors.

Depending on the decision you made above about the atmosphere you want to create in your feng shui bedroom, you can choose a bold and energetic color such as red or purple to create energy and tension, or warm and soothing colors such as brown and dark green to relax and calm you. However, with either decision, don’t go overboard and make either choice overwhelming. Nothing drains or depresses you faster than feeling overwhelmed by the color of a room the moment you walk into.

Most cat owners in America have not arranged for pet health insurance, and I’m not quite sure why. We all know just how important it is to have medical insurance; so it makes sense that we should consider cat health insurance to protect our pets.

It may at first look like just another regular expense; that is until those cat owners are face to face with the expensive vet bills after their pet has an accident or gets sick. With everything around us is costing more and more money everyday, it is not surprising that vet fees have also risen as well; of course the knock-on effect has been a rise in pet medical insurance premiums. That being said, policies are much more affordable than you might discover.

The rising cost of pet insurance is one point to consider but is there any others to consider? Unfortunately, cats become sick from time to time or are involved in an accident. This can happen at any time and usually does when you can least afford it!

One dangerous fact about sleeping disorders is that they weaken the immune system and make us more susceptible to other diseases like diabetes, cancer and even the common cold. It is not uncommon for people who suffer from sleep deprivation due to sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy and insomnia to also suffer from other problems including diabetes, asthma or a second sleep disorder.

For parents, speaking with your health care provider about sleep disorders is a good idea if you believe your child is experiencing symptoms, because people can begin suffering while still in childhood. If your child regularly suffers from nightmares, night terrors and bedwetting, then a sleep disorder clinic may be able to give you advice on how to control the symptoms. The elderly also regularly suffer from insomnia and tend to wake often. This is attributed to numerous psychological and medical conditions. Solid boundaries established early in a child’s life are extremely important to their wellbeing and development. Parents have been traditionally given a role of authority with their children and they do not do them any favors when they behave as their friend. When the roles become obscure usually the boundaries do as well. The value of understanding limits and boundaries is immeasurable as a child.

Children when they are very young need to be properly taught the difference between a friend and a parent or authority figure. This is an extremely vital lesson in the development of a child. Boundaries help with the smooth transition into adulthood and the ability to respect all authoritarian figures.

I recently had an experience in a restaurant where two 4 or 5 year old boys were getting bored and started playing in the restaurant. They went over to their mother and started hitting the back of her chair to get her to go and play with them, when that didn’t work they grabbed her purse and started throwing it around all the while laughing and yelling to their mother to “come out and play.” During this whole thing the children’s mother was sitting there laughing at her “friends” wanting her to come and play with them. The children took it further by dumping her purse and taking all of the coins that fell out and using them in a vending machine nearby. When the children were finished with their mother’s purse they went and grabbed another patrons purse and commenced to run around with it. The woman that owned the purse ran over to the children and got her purse back and scolded their mother for not disciplining them. The woman could have easily called the police and made things rough for the kids and parents, but she did not.

The mother in this example clearly had no control of her children. The children looked at their mother like one of their buddies and not as an authority figure. As a parent it is your job to instill respect for others and their property in your children, if that teaching doesn’t come from you they will probably never learn it. The behavioral problems that result from a lack of guidance could cause socially unacceptable traits in the future.

Children, like the ones in this story, are not a pleasure for anyone to be around, including the parents.
